Lost is an application to help you when one of the navigation sources that you already have fails to find a location. Lost works great to augment the built-in Maps application, allowing you to search once when Maps fails to find your location, and then even open the location in the built-in Maps app for easy one-tap directions and other information. This gives you amazing flexibility and comes in handy when you are searching for hard-to-find local roads or locations.

Lost was designed for and by someone who previously made service calls to clients homes. In doing so, many rural addresses, especially those on county roads, were often very difficult to find. They will usually not show up on about half of the sources for location data, and dont tend to all show up on the same sources. So in this case it would require searching over and over on multiple sites and in multiple applications and books, until something found what you were looking for. Lost does all of that dirty work for you, if youve already searched in the Maps application, and nothing was found, just try Lost, it will almost always find what you are looking for!

Lost does not only find addresses though! It can also take most any query that has to do with a location on the earth, try it! You might find places that you never knew existed, apart from just trying to find places that you already know do!
